Coronavirus (Covid-19) Information

This message is in response to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic for our guests at Preferred Properties

To our wonderful guests, 

Key West opened for tourism on June 1st.

 

We are complying with the directives listed on the Monroe County website.  Please be aware that information may be updated and the details of your reservation may also be required to change, potentially without much notice.  If the governor issues a directive, related to Covid-19, in which we would be required to cancel your reservation, we will allow you to move your reservation to a future date, or provide a refund.  Please note, the option mentioned is for Covid-19 only, any other reasons to cancel would follow our normal cancellation policy and refunds would not be provided.

The businesses and restaurants which have opened have been given a directive from Monroe county that both customer and employees must wear masks.  Please be prepared to show off your best face masks while visiting! 

While we cannot guarantee that you are safe from this pandemic, the local community of Key West has been working diligently to make your trip a nice one!  Please help to make the locals safe as they try to do the same for you!

 

We strongly recommend trip interruption/travel insurance for any weather-related travel issues or for situations in which an illness would not enable one to travel.  Travel insurance does not cover cancellations due to the fear of illness or weather and would require documentation for any claims.

 

We appreciate your patience as we navigate through this unprecedented situation.  Preferred Properties is a locally owned, family managed business.  2020 marks our 25th year in business, and we pride ourselves on approaching situations fairly and compassionately.

 

 

 

CANCELLATIONS THAT OCCUR CLOSE TO THE CHECK-IN DATE OFFER NO REFUNDS

Our rental agreement states that requests for cancellation must occur at least 60 days prior to your arrival(90 days for stays longer than 28 days). 

It is within this window of time in which we begin to accrue expenses that are ultimately earmarked for your specific enjoyment.  Our staff works diligently to make sure that each guest has a great stay, at the property and within Key West.  Once inside 60 days, we feel confident that the services we deliver will result in a superior experience for our guests, and cancellations any closer to check-in may be challenging to rebook to another guest.
