This place is great! It is a perfect size for a small group and is so close to everything. Duval is a block away and the grocery is across the street. The pool and deck area is large and able to accommodate multiple rentals. We will definitely be back! The only suggestion would be to upgrade the TV.

This is a very cute little apartment perfect for 2 (as long as one of you is able to climb a ladder to the loft). One block from Duval street, the apartment has everything you need as a home base. Although we did not use it, a small patio with a grill make dinner "at home" quite doable as does the small, very functional kitchen. It is a really perfect as a home base for folks who want to be out and about in the paradise that is Key West!!

This is an affordable, clean hideaway close to Duval St. A small, well stocked grocery store across the street, wonderful coffee shop in the next block. Everything you need is within walking distance. Know that you do need to climb a ladder to get to the bedroom in the loft. The management company, Preferred Properties, was so on task. They're recommendations for bike rentals, restaurants, local attractions, etc. were right on the mark. We had a wonderful vacation and will book with them again in the future.

The accommodation was as expected. I was concerned about climbing the ladder to the bedroom (I’m 80!) but the downstairs bed was a trundle and we were able to sleep there without climbing the ladder. The facility is older, but was clean and sufficiently stocked with linens, dishes, small fridge, etc. I had checked to see if coffee maker or Keurig to bring coffee. They upgraded to a Keurig and I had not brought cups. A small coffee pot was quickly supplied, but did not work. Parking is a nightmare. $50 for 12 hours. The people who were in the front unit could have pulled forward so we could park there. Their car never moved all week. We spent a lot of time and money parking the car at different places. All that aside, the location was outstanding which is why I chose this facility. We were at most a ten minute walk to Duvall, Mallory Square, southern point, and many restaurants. A small grocery directly across the street was convenient and even had a small deli. I would stay here again....just not bring a car.

I have so many wonderful things to say about Preferred Properties, the Island Pearl and the property's owner. We have been renting this spot for 8 years now, and can't wait to come back. It is perfect located in Old Town, private and small but spacious! Everything you need is included in the rental to have a wonderful Key West vacation.

We had a wonderful stay. The rental company booked us 2 bicycles and had them delivered and picked up. We rode all over the island from our place. Apartment is close enough to walk to most places. It is clean and quiet. We would definitely stay again. Rental company made everything so easy. We liked the loft bedroom, but I can see that older people would have problems with it due to mobility issues.

Island Pearl is a small yet very comfortable cottage in the heart of Old Town Key West. It's perfect for a couple, as long as you are good with the ladder to the loft. You're within walking distance of everything, including the beach at Zachary Taylor Park and great places to eat or shop. It's quiet and the pool is very nice. Check in was smooth and Preferred Properties was very helpful and professional. The tiny kitchen could use a bit of a facelift and there was construction at the main building which I wish someone would have told us about prior, but other than those two minor things everything else was great. This rental is a terrific bang for your buck in Key West.

This spot was perfect for us! It was close to everything but also provided a quiet oasis for when we wanted to just relax. The pool was great to cool down after a busy day. The cottage was adorable and clean. We loved having breakfast on the patio before starting our day. The grocery store across the street had everything we needed. We loved it!

The place was clean and had all the extra touches (full kitchen, bathroom, TV and music). Bed was comfortable. However, since the main bed is in a loft and you must take a ladder up and down (to go to bathroom as well) I would think this property won't be for everyone. The location is amazing. You are close to Duval, the pier and Mallory Square. The only negative was the pool was leaking and it was not fixed nor was the patio cleaned so we did not get to enjoy the pool and patio area. However, I reached out and preferred properties made it right and they did refer us to a pool that we could use. I will stay at a Preferred Properties again. Shelly

This was our 2nd stay at Island Pearl and we hope to return next year and beyond! The location works great for our vacation needs as far as close, but not too close, to the "fun" on Duval St. We LOVE the semi-private pool. This is the main reason we return to Island Pearl. The house is comfortable and super clean. It can be a little tricky going up and down the ladder, but so far so good. We did note some signs of aging and wear & tear, but we were also told that the owner is taking August to do some major renovations/updates. We look forward to seeing what is new on our next trip. Preferred Properties was excellent to deal with! If we can't rent IP again, we will go through PP to find our next rental. Angela was very friendly and helpful with bike rental, checking in on us before and during our stay, answering questions or concerns we had, etc. I cannot thank her enough for her help and excellent customer service.

Great area near by. Local grocery, quaint restaurants and walking distance to all the shops, bars and restaurants. Would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay....preferred properties are great...they helped us a lot...got us in after dark coming in late....was there in 15 minutes. The property was perfect for our neices wedding who actually was staying a block away with most the wedding party...all venues for the 3 day event was walking distance but our dog liked the golf cart, lol

My wife who was celebrating her 40th birthday had a great stay. Enjoyed New Years in Key West. Bicycles, sightseeing, Fort Tortugas, Zachary Taylor Beach, snorkeling, all were so fun. Property was located in a great place, was clean, and hosts were always available. Great place for a couple!

This little place is ideal for a couple, one who can navigate the ladder to the sleeping loft! It's location is fantastic. It's well attended to with needed amenities and was spotless. The property manager was very responsive to our needs.
The only slight disappointment was the lack of privacy as there were also guests (and their guests) in the big house in front. We all got along fine but I was really looking for a more secluded experience.

Island Pearl was great to us! We loved having a coded entry to a secluded pool area and not carrying a room key as we walked around exploring Key West. Fausto's grocery was closer than a hotel lobby would be, so there is no reason to have a larger fridge. A five minute bike ride took us to 5 Brothers or Date and Thyme for our morning coffee and El Siboney for delicious food. Preferred Properties made things very simple and their communication was great! We rented bikes from Eaton bikes and they couldn't have made it more simple. My only critique is that the primary bed is up a ladder in the loft, so good luck with the middle of the night bathroom trip... we just slept on the day bed with trundle. Romantic, eh? The furniture in the main room could use an update. Overall, this was a great stay and we would definitely come back!

We were extremely pleased with this property and would definitely try to book here next time we are down. Literally blocks away from everything, including a grocery store across the street, but extremely quiet neighborhood. The management team was very responsive and everything went really smooth. The very private sitting area was incredible for morning coffee. Comfortable bed, good shower, all the kitchen items you could want! Great, cute little place!

This is a very nice place to stay. If you have a scooter there is a place to park in front of the gate access. Its very private in the back where we're located. We just needed a place to crash in the evening and this worked out for us. Only issue is that if you plan to drink a lot or if you are an older couple I dont recommend this place as you have to climb that ladder to get to the bed. BUT you can always take the trundle out and crash on that too.

Perfect location. Walk anywhere. We had the pool to ourselves. My 2 year old swam all day. Excellent stay.

We absolutely LOVED this rental. Inside is small but efficient with everything we needed. The outside space is AWESOME!! Great patio area with beautiful, well-maintained pool. The location is PERFECT - being about a block off the busy-ness of Duval but very close access with a little store RIGHT across the street for any essentials you need during your stay. Great communication and availability both before and during with the property managers and easy/well explained instructions for the home as well as house “rules.” Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back!!

This property was perfect for my Key West vacation. The description was spot on and all was as I expected on arrival. Good pre arrival communication from the manager.

Location is prime. Only a block and a half to Duvall. Could walk easily to everyplace I wanted to go. Lots of bike rentals nearby if you want to explore a bit further away.

Great place. Hope I'll be able to book it next time.

Excellent location for walkers. Just down the street from Starbucks and across from the grocery store. Needs a full length mirror, just my two cents! Management was so helpful & responsive to questions. The owner introduced himself & let us know that he heated the pool for us:) Such a cool town that we stayed busy & didn't get to take advantage of it.
I would stay there again!

There is no better location in Key West. Right off Duval and next to grocery store.

Angela was amazing to deal with. She was there for any questions or concerns and was readily available. The cottage was clean and super cute. Came with a small cooler, cups, plates and pretty much anything else you would need. We had plenty of space and had the poool to ourselves all weekend. This is one of the largest house pools I have ever seen in Key West. The grocery store was directly across the street and the liquor store was a stones throw away. The location couldn’t have been better. It was two blocks to Duval, right by La Concha, where some friends of ours stayed. I would stay here again for sure!!!

We loved our stay there. It was my husband and our 12 year old daughter. Adorable guest house. Not sure the stove worked, but we ate out the whole time and did microwave stuff for breakfast except for one morning. Love love love the lush sitting area, the pool and the hot tub. The location was perfect. We could walk to all the good shopping and eating and walked to Fort Zachery Beach too! We felt very safe. The staff was very quick to respond when we texted them. They prepped us very well before we got there. Such a great experience. Would love to come back.

We loved staying at the Island Pearl and wished we could have stayed longer. Angela was great to work with. There are no negatives to this rental.

My girlfriend and I booked this property for our first trip to Key West. It was a great trip, and this property played a key role.

Check in and check out were easy. The property was very clean and comfortable. The property manager was very responsive to communications.

The location is great, short walking distance to Duvel Street, etc. The neighborhood is quiet, and there's a small grocery store located across the street for water, snacks, etc.

I highly recommend this property and will try to book it for my next trip to Key West.

One caveat for those with mobility issues... The main bed is located up a steep ladder so that could present an issue. However, there is a second bed on the ground floor.

Overall a good experience. Location was great — walking distance to most everything in Key West. Nice bed and sleeping area — very cozy!

It is located a block away from Duvall street, yet it is private enough to where you can feel secluded.

This place is amazing! We got lucky because we had the whole pool to ourselves. Its in the perfect location, not too far away from Duval but just far enough if you’re looking for more of a relaxing vacation. The place is perfect for 2 people and we had just enough room to be comfortable. The kitchen is pretty stocked too, which surprised us (in a good way!) We are already talking about coming back next year.
